Practice Statement – Easing Restrictions

We are aware that there has been an easing of lockdown restrictions in the past week, and this has made our patients ask lots of questions as to why we are still not providing our full range of services.

A recent survey showed that under normal working conditions medical staff are some of the most likely to be exposed to a disease when working in close proximity to other people.

Therefore if one person enters our practice not knowing they are infectious with Covid-19, this could then be passed throughout our team and potentially cause us to have to close for a period of time.

Throughout this process we have had to shield members of our team for different reasons which has meant running on lower staffing levels.

We are working together to make sure our practice is safe not only for our staff but our patients also. When we feel this has been achieved in line with government and NHS England guidance, we will then prepare to extend our services once again.

We are and have been doing our very best to provide the best service possible.

We are still providing phone and video consultations and seeing those who need to be seen in person, and we ask that you do not come down to our surgery unless you have been advised to do so, or are collecting medicines or prescriptions from our dispensary.

Please keep checking our webpage as we will continue to update our status regularly here.

Thank you all for being so understanding and supportive.

The Riverside Team.
